I remember seeing them in their well designed box, the gloss black logo on matte black cardboard with its handle kiss cut, hit a spot in my gut that knew these were the best headphones to have ever hit the shelves...(You don't stop and think about the future of technology in the heat of the moment...Palms sweaty, debit card at the ready. At that age I could only pray that luck was on my side and hope the keypad of validation would dictate my purchase was approved.)
This was during a time when bigger was better, if your headphones blocked your peripheral vision, you new you were wearing the right ones (even if they made your ears sweat in the heat of the summer it was worth it.) No inner ear penetration, just cushy padding to block out the world around you, containing neck snapping high hats and kicks with bullying bass lines that became my soundtrack to the mid 90's.
There is nothing like great sounding audio.
The song I could listen to 100 times today.....Junior Boys remix of Sleep Tonight by Stars.
